Cami's Grad

About a week ago, we had the opportunity to attend Cami's graduation from community college in Colville. We had such a wonderful time connecting with old friends and meeting new ones. :)

   

Control Issues

A thought from riding the motorcycle... Who's in control? The times that I had the most difficulty riding were the times that Mr. Philpott and I were both trying to steer. Who determines the direction that we are going in our lives? Are we fighting again the Lord's leading even though we intellectually know that He knows what is best for us? I found that I preferred sitting on the back letting Mr.Philpott take full control rather than trying to do it myself. The ride was much more smooth that way. Think about it...are you trying to steer yourself while letting God keep a hand on the handlebars or are you surrendering completely to Him so you can have a more enjoyable experience?

Prayer the Answer

Going to GYC was such a wonderful experience! This was our first year, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was blessed by the speakers' messages as well as spending time with friends. We just figured out this evening that we knew about 120 people there. Like-minded friends are such a blessing! Lord willing, we'll be at the next one in Seattle. I'm looking forward to it!

A New Year

A new year of your life now commences. A new page is turned in the book of the recording angel. What will be the record upon its pages?
